Melissa Magsaysay is a journalist, best-selling author and entrepreneur.
She spent a decade as a reporter and editor at the Los Angeles Times and Women's Wear Daily and continues to contribute to The Los Angeles Times, Business of Fashion and CNN. As a trusted voice in the fashion industry, Melissa also consults for luxury and contemporary lifestyle brands, providing editorial direction and creative content for a variety of different companies. She is dedicated to telling stories focused on diversity and inclusion in fashion and beauty and currently heads up content for inclusive beauty platform, thirteen lune. In the summer of 2023, she co-founded the brand Duster, a line of day dresses inspired by a Filipino housedress which aims to make women feel valued and visible in all of the ways that they work. Melissa’s writing has been featured in Elle, Glamour, Harper's Bazaar, The Hollywood Reporter, The Wall Street Journal and The Chicago Tribune. She has appeared on The Today Show, Access Hollywood and BBC as a style and culture commentator.
